We’re proud to announce that our Charity of the Year will be Sarah’s Star. Sarah’s Star is a local charity based at the Linskill centre at North Shields where they provide compassionate, non-clinical support for people and their families living with incurable or life-limiting illnesses. Their welcoming community space provides people access to a number of holistic therapies such as yoga, massage and Reiki. As well as support groups and workshops.

Sarah’s Star was founded by Sarah Harrison — a much-loved mum of two, whose strength, compassion, and unwavering trust in the power of community continue to inspire everything we do. Sarah was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer in 2019 and passed away in December 2025, but her spirit, kindness, and belief in supporting others live on through the charity.
