In the frosty embrace of Whitley Bay winter, four resilient North East touch rugby teams met on the field. The competition was fun, and at times a little fierce, with each team determined to improve their game.
The four Saturday fixtures saw some great moments of touch, with an increasing level of structure and skill from each team over time. And each concluded with a fun all-teams friendly. A special thank you goes out to the refs for keeping the games flowing at a good standard.
Going into finals night, Percy Park Pirates led the table by 1 point followed by Rockcliff Adders, Alnwick Wizards, and Newcastle Ravens. Ultimately, Adders took the win after a very tight first half and 3rd/4th playoff was won by Alnwick Wizards.
