Last year as a team we decided to raise funds for the Maggie’s Newcastle at the Freeman hospital, and we set off with the target to raise £5k, through a wide range of activities from bake sales, raffles to bonus balls and 100km sponsored walk, wearing our custom designed charity vests. To help draw the celebrations to a close, we finished by hosting a charity touch rugby competition for 8 teams at Rockcliff Rugby Club on 9th July.

We just wanted to thank each and everyone of you who got on board with all the fundraising, and helped to not only meet our £5k target, but absolutely smash it!! In total we raised £7,934.16 and we know the funds will be put to good use straight away!
On Monday 8th August, a selection of the Blackadders Charity Committee, along with Matt and his daughter Louisa popped along to the Centre to present the cheque to Maggie’s.
